Am I crazy? Probably. But you didn't misread the title at all! If enough people sign up for Bloggst within the year, I will actually change my own name to Bloggst. And no, I'm not talking about my "online name", I am talking about my actual, real-life name. Here in Norway the rules for name changes are very lenient, and every person can change their own name twice in their life, and you can use whatever name you please, and I am one hundred percent certain that I will have no problems getting "Lars-Christian Bloggst" approved.
What will it take for you to change your name?
The "requirements" are pretty simple. If more than 10,000 people register and post at least one post here at Bloggst within the end of 2007, I will change my name to Bloggst. It really is that simple! Some might be wondering how you can make sure that I will actually go through with it if the requirements are met, and all I really have to assure you is my own word. And if the requirements are met, I am sure over 10,000 people will hold me too it!
I will of course share pictures of the documents that prove my change if this goes through, just to easy everyone. And if you're still in doubt about whether or not this is a scam, look up the rules on namechanges in Norway, and ask anyone who knows me on whether or not I am serious about it, and I am sure they will confirm it for you.
Why are you doing this? You are crazy!
Yes, I admit it, I am crazy, but I also have my reasons for doing this. The most important factor is that I honestly believe in my own project, and this is a way of proving just how much. Some might say that by doing this, Bloggst will get a lot of registered members that only sign up to see me change my name. True, but I believe that once people sign up, it will open their eyes and they will see that it can be a valuable tool for all bloggers.
