I would assume that goes for most of the popular topics on Technorati, and not just the iPhone that Spence mentioned as an example. The question is, how does Technorati filter out which posts gets exposure? That would obviously be a key element in using it to draw in traffic.
I'm not really sure about this, but I guess they rank the posts based on recency, as well as the blog's rank. Someone will need to confirm this for me though.
As for the Technorati tags, I'm not sure how useful they actually are. Technorati automatically tags your content I believe, and if you're using an internal tag system (like UTW for instance), it is absolutely redundant, since Technorati automatically discovers those tags.
